I need more to do
You know, you would think that with all this free time that i have to be bored that i would be updating constantly, but i haven't for some reason. It's been awhile since i've updated so i'll have to figure out what i've done in that time. Let see, still doing LCCB, so i'm still driving 200 miles every tuesday so i can play in a band in a county in which i don't even live, but kim joined so that makes it more interesting. Alma people are taking over that band. Last weds, i went with some friends from high school to cedar point. That was definitely fun but really wet at the same time. It rained twice during the day. We ended up riding 4 water rides; Thunder Canyon, Snake River Falls, Powertower, and the Magnum. Riding the Powertower down in the rain is interesting because you fall faster than the rain so it looks like it's just floating there. The magnum on the other hand was probably the most painful experience of my life. It started to rain as we were waiting in line which wasn't too bad, but as we got onto the ride it rained harder, then as we went up the first hill it started to hail on top of the rain. And it is one hell of a painful experience to be pelted by hail at 60 miles an hour. Everyone was screaming from the pain and the ride because everyone had their eyes closed so you couldn't see what was coming. As we pulled back into the station everyone who was waiting applauded since they hadn't sent anyone out after us. The pictures were pretty funny too because everyone was covering themselves in some way to try to shelter from the hail. Other than that it's been pretty boring, just visiting some friends and pretty much being bored. Oh, i have decided on my cedar point trip. It will be Tuesday August 24th. That's the Tuesday before preterm starts. I'm looking for at least 15 people to go. That is the minimum for group discount which would make tickets $32 which is 11.95 cheaper than the gate price and 1.95 cheaper than at meijer. Not that that is a huge savings but when you are a poor college student every little bit helps. In order to get the tickets the reservations need to be made at least 3 weeks in advance. That date occurs while i am on vacation so i am making the deadline next tuesday the 27th of july so that there is enough time to get the tickets. Just so everyone is clear on this, this is only a group to get tickets cheaper. There is only one time that we all need to be a group and that is to get tickets, everyone can go on their own to get there and in the park. If people want to gather together for the ride there/back, in the park, or for food or something, that is fine, but there is no requirement of being a group the whole time. That is why these kinds of plans tend to not work out, because people think that they need to be together the whole time and that it will be too hard to do. Well that is not going to be a problem on this trip. So if you are interested let me know. I will also be asking people personally since i know that not everybody reads livejournal. Well i think that will do it for now. I might even go to bed early tonight.
