Yes, it has been 4 weeks!
Yes, it has been 4 weeks! D'ja miss me? Well, I missed you! I was off on my long anticipated trip to visit my son and his wife in South Africa, with a few days r&r in Bali (had to do a round the world ticket to save $$$, so why not!)
Don't mean to come off as a pampered bitch. No, none of that for us. They had us booked in hostels the whole trip. I haven't been in so many bunk beds since summer camp. I met lots of interesting people from all over the world, and blissfully few Yanks. Didn't read any news about the elections or the falling dollar and the horrible war, just pretended that all the world was bright and lovely and on safari along with me.
So, while I didn't do any LJ, I did have my laptop with me for emergencies, like if Dee announced a performance in SF, and I had to get tickets before it sold out, but THAT didn't happen!!!
South Africa is the most glorious and potentially rich country. Fun people and wonderful animals. Here is a shot (bit fuzzy because the darling was charging me) of Dumbo's mother's sister, on a rampage:
I missed you all., but it was a treat to be away so long and I want to go back, anywhere, soon!
