That info's been out and about for a while. My understanding is she was also a finalist for the Mary Sunshine role that went to Christine Baranski.
Chicago was bouncing around as a possible film for a long time - I believe Goldie and Madonna were attached to it very early on in the decade or so it took to get it to the screen. But Kristin's got a longstanding connection to Rob Marshall through her work on stage and also the TV version of Annie. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up in one of his movies in the future.
You know, I will admit to scanning the tabloids at the grocery line and saying to myself, I'm glad those scumbags haven't glommed on to Kris or Dee. I know they want to be "Popular", but that would be awful. I do worry about what will happen when they were get to that next level of exposure. The psychological damage will be terrible.
Remember those in their faces paparazzi pics of them having lunch at an outdoor cafe? He was caught eating something with his fingers or something...Just made me sick. Now, of course, I would love to have been sitting next to them and would have asked Dee to pass the mustard. I'd have told her to get back to NYC as fast as her cute little feet could run, but alas, it didn't happen. I fear that LA will be the ruin of them all.
