ouch, that hurts, II
hi! i didn't forget about lj, and the contrary, because i've been compulsively reading my friends' list everyday. it's just that i've been overloaded with work and class assignments, with this session's classes being involved with groups meetings, etc. and i have my biweekly trips to d.c. for time with je--. we are together and happy, apart from a few heated discussions early in our relationship about making the long distance format work. i don't have an answer, only that it's working. she is visiting me this weekend; her flight arrives tomorrow at noon.

my manager's wedding is this sunday, so earlier this week i when shopping for an occasional nice shirt. initially i didn't find one and was discouraged when the nice elderly salesman at bloomingdales said, "about one out of 100 shirts delivered to us have a 14 1/2" collar." i admitted to defeat and made small talk with him saying i'd be in the market for a suit within the next six months or so, being a full-fledged businessman and all. that was a mistake, because he quickly gave me his card and pulled me across the isle to the suit section and made me try on a jacket. before i could say "no" i was being fitted for a black hugo boss suit and then he somehow miraculously found a 14 1/2" collar shirt. i also purchased a tie and belt. i walked out with a complete suit purchased, so i will look extra sharp at my manager's wedding. and i will have a gorgeous girl at my side.
