universal joint events

last night, i finally had the chance to meet my new virtual friend, L--, at the Universal Joint. and this all started when I modeled my friendster profile after Charlie Brown, saying i was looking for a L-- and the Great Pumpkin. and, behold, a L-- messaged me a few weeks after. for reasons too boring to warrant detail, now my profile is modeled after Linus, and i'm looking for someone to break my codependency on the blanket. but about L--, the reason for this event being documented. and regarding my always anonymous inclinations when blogging, for those knowledgable in Peanuts characters, i'm sure you know what L--'s name is.

after the previous two planned events were cancelled, she made for poignancy and arrived at Universal Joint a full ten minutes before i did, me traditionally being the one overly poignant. she had already started with a dry martini, so i felt the need to match that with a vodka rocks, with a splash of sprite. our evening chat, amounting to two hours in the end, involved the normal topics like career, college studies, future endeavors, etc. she has her own concert promotion company, for booking shows for one of the major concert venues in Atlanta. in two weeks, she's visiting Los Angeles, again, for an independent music promotions event. and from this point of the conversation, i was enamored by her stories of L.A., and the descriptions she gave of the different, culturally diverse demographics, and from which clubs and venues to see the latest musical talents. my two hours with her made me want to visit L.A. even greater. at eleven pm, after two more of the previously mentioned drinks, we said our good-byes, and parted ways. i hope to see her again. but, in her living in the lifestyle mindset of a rock-n-roll actor in a supporting role, i don't have high hope of this.
