Spring excitement
Goodness!! It's spring break and appropriately spring-y. I went to Metropolis (the official home of Superman) and I have begun planting seeds and prepping soil. I wish I had more food-waste for my compost bin. The current volume is rather sad and it is having trouble heating up and breaking down. Then again, I did start it in the middle of winter so it should start picking up with the warmer weather. I am noticing some of the mold actually breaking down. The slug population has also slightly decreased.
Over the last few days, I filled my peat-based-seeding-pots with seeding mix (deliciously organic), impregnated it with seeds, found a growing onion piece in my fridge, put some garlic into the ground, put the growing piece of onion into a pot, put an onion in the ground, and I went to Metropolis (the official home of Superman).
Metropolis was crazy sucky but there are plenty of pictures on facebook in a brand-new album. Took a number of dirt roads and wrong forks to get there. I was kind of worried about being shot and eaten by some hick. Needless to say, we took the highway home, made it in no time.
