"We failed." The familiar voice drew no eyes.
Sighing, Gaeta let his head droop. "We tried. They did not listen."
"God will not be pleased." Stopping beside himself, Felix watched the wandering Humans and Cylons. "How have they not noticed?"
It was the question he had been asking himself since he lost his leg. Everything was made obvious, but no one was paying attention. "They do not want to see. Their ignorance is deliberate."
"This wasn't part of His plan." Felix caught his double's head shake from the corner of his eye. "I suppose He will have ammended it by now."
"Obviously." Coming up between them, Sam pushed his hands deep in his pockets. Looking about, he glared at the ruins. "Quite a mess they made."
"Don't they always?" Gaeta shared a smirk with himself. "Then again, our brothers and sisters weren't much better."
"That will soon change." Draping his arm over Felix's shoulder, Sam tugged him close. "How long do you think it will take them to realize this isn't Earth?"
"Probably about as long as it takes them to realize they're not alone." Shifting on his crutches, Gaeta deliberately kept his eyes off them. He tried not to let his jealousy show. It wasn't his fault the model who had come with them was blind. "You might want to get comfortable, this will take a while."
Sam wrapped Gaeta in his other arm. He gave him a sympathetic squeeze. "I'm sorry you've had to suffer through this. But it's almost over, then we can begin."
Nodding, Gaeta laid his head upon Sam's shoulder. He wasn't Samuel Anders, but he was close enough for now. "By your command."
