Her brother's been tortured too. Or, he hasn't, but he has the memories, like all her memories of Gaius kissing her in the sun.

I love this line - because there's a layer where having someone rewrite your memories has been a kind of violence for both of them, whether they were given something good or bad. The whole piece is just gorgeous - a fascinating exploration of her psyche!

Ahhhhh remixer, this is so sad and disturbing and good I can't even handle it!

Firstly, I SERIOUSLY apologize for how long it took me to comment on this. I've been a terrible remixee to leave you hanging. :( But I really love this. The second-person sections are gut-twistingly effective, and Gina is so terrifying from a prisoner POV and yet still breaks my heart.

There's a loss when she says it, so she says it whenever she can, because she needs to speak the truth.

I really liked this line; it seems like a very Six or Gina thing in particular, to be very quick to acknowledge painful truths.

While I was pretty proud of that original ficlet, I love that you expanded on something that I really don't think it delved into enough - the whole concept of Gina having Caprica's memories, and how fragmented that would make her feel, especially re: their experiences with Baltar.

Just... ouchy and haunting, all of it. I am so happy with what you did with this fic!

This is so incredibly chilling and amazing. On one hand, it really made me want more, because it's just so compelling, but on the other hand, it's so raw maybe it's best not. Not only is Gina's pain palpable through this, but I love what you did with the Cylons, and how connected they are with memory and love. (That came out more with the Two, how he's never fully himself, but there's a part of "the real Leoben" dominating him.

Absolutely fascinating.

THis line killed me: It doesn't make sense that they were made like this, needing so much and having to suffice with so little. So fitting for all of them. The hopelessness of the prisoner, the acceptance, hurts to read, it's so vivid and immediate. I can just see the needful menace radiating from Gina here.
