Yay, glad you liked it! I loved the original (of course), and the bits about Racetrack were just so damn intriguing. I'm glad you liked what I did with the original scene--I really, really loved how Racetrack could be so blunt and accepting of her fate, and I liked the off-the-cuff-ness, too. I think I ended up shifting it internally mostly because it was the only way I could think of to make her story arc, particularly to make Hoshi an important part of that arc.

There should so be more Marine with Pretty Eyes fic! I know he's got all of, like, two lines besides that bit of flirting in the gag reel, but he's so much fun to play with. Plus, y'know, pretty. :)
