I love what you've done with the list and how you've added all that backstory of how Hot Dog has been taken with Felix ever since NC. I'd NEVER have thought of that and I just love this new take on this story I know intimately.

"The whole applying it to sexual identity was all me. Honestly? I think people have to redefine themselves all the time. Not just with faith or sex, but anything. I was a chaplain, and I switched over to CIC. You were a clerk, and now you're a pilot. People get married, they have babies, they lose jobs, they gain friends, they find new interests… it's a process that happens all your life."
That's a really smart notion to be in this story and one that hits home for me for all kinds of reasons. So it was really touching to read it here.
And something that he really couldn't figure out the function, but he was pretty sure if he asked Hoshi or Narcho, they'd not only explain, but draw diagrams and demonstrate.
Now I want to see those diagrams.
He'd slept with Margaret. Well, huh. How about that.
Go, Hot Dog! I'm happy you kept this little story about Hot Dog and Racetrack (and evolved it, of course) because it's one thing I've always hoped I'd read some time written by somebody not me. :)
