Wow. This is a powerful piece. I really like it a lot. Using the Montclair painting to represent the evil!cylons, and Bill's struggle against the idea of it, is wonderful. And poor Sam. What a thing to discover. Bill, pragmatic and sure, does the right thing here. I enjoyed it!

I really liked the way Bill considered Sam's actions so thoroughly here, and poor Sam's hesitant confession and all of Bill's memories- especially this line:

filled with black suits and black dresses and black tattoos

Very well done!

Thank you! (I kinda wish the show had done this, but. Oh, well.)

oh, excellent! The POV switch really works for this one, so we can see Adama's thinking and reasoning. How Cylons really are formative in his history, their development sort of tracking his own, and then how Sharon's choice blurs the lines between the Machine!Cylons and the far more human versions. I like how you added in the idea of Sam-as-hostage to Adama's tentative trust (which honestly never occurred to me back then, but certainly Revelations makes completely obvious). . But you certainly took what was mostly a wishful thinking AU of mine and made it more plausible, and that's no easy task.

*thumbs up*

Thank you! I do kinda wish the series had gone this way, but. Oh, well. I owe many thanks to my beta, sci_fi_shipper, who figured out how to fix the structural problems so that everything actually makes sense.
