Yeah, she definitely is not a character you can be indifferent to. I know what you mean about Galen kind of parenting or big-brothering her, definitely. I wonder if that's just the chemistry the actors have, or what? But I think the age and rank difference has to be an issue for them.

Withholding judgement and trying to understand different points of view is pretty much my motto with this series.

I'm so glad you liked the family backstory! It was seriously fun for me to imagine. And I think the first installment of "A Song of Ice and Fire" is somewhere in my possession, and now I really want to check it out.

But she's always loyal to the bitter to the end to anyone she currently counts in her pack. And people whom she perceives as a threat - she has absolutely no patience, no sympathy for them.

*glees* That's exactly what I was trying to convey!

Yeah, I know. Sadly, this show doesn't seem to do "okay" very well. It definitely got an "unsatisfactory" on its kindergarten report card for "works and plays well with others".

This icon is yet another example of how even the side characters on BSG get put through loads and loads of "not okay". ;)

Too true! That's why I like writing hopefulish endings for the characters - I know Ron is probably going to crush my soul canon-wise. *lights a small candle* ;)

I've always liked Gaeta but was never a huge fan - but then he was so compelling in the New Caprica arc. (Not to mention, seriously hot with the slightly longer hair.) He's another character who's not going to have an easy time of it next season, I'll bet. :/
