Wait wait wait wait Kara, a dude in the original BSG - got that - but please tell me you didn't just make ahuge spoiler with "John" altering her genetic make-up? Please? Or did that happen last night and I missed it when the fire alarm was pulled by some drunks... Saw the re-run but saw nothing of this... help!!!!
No you've got it all wrong! Kara is not Daniel. Daniel is Kara's dad! Remember her "special destiny" and her mom obviously knew what was up. Her dad was a piano player and exposed her to the eye thing she always drew. I dont think there is any other explanation except that Daniel is Kara's dad making Kara a cylon/human hybrid.
I didn't say that Kara was definitely Daniel. I said, with the information that was provided in the episode, it was implied.
If Kara is a cylon/human hybrid then why is there a skeletal Kara on Earth and a brand new perfectly identical Kara running around? With the same memories of the Kara that sploded?
Kara's dad seems too insignificant a character to be suddenly introduced as an important figure in the mythology with only a few episodes to go. I don't remember him exposing her to the Eye of Jupiter design either. I thought she just always drew it, that she always liked the design.
I think it is more likely that Kara is Daniel. John gave her memories of an awful upbringing, a mother that abused her, because Ellen favored "her" so much.
Does anyone think that Tigh and Six's baby might be Daniel? It's a boy - we know that much... Or at least the second coming of Daniel... too much speculation here! Although this does make it more interesting to watch... after the first few episodes in the season I was like WTF? Who cares... they didn't find earth ok now what? Oh we're going to go galavanting around the galaxy again? Oh mutiny... ok right... moving on - finally back to the good stuff.... sorry just my ranty two pence to avoid doing any real work on my thesis...
My idea was, from the start that Kara was the first hybrid. Now learning that Daniel was an artist seems to add up to the whole idea of this. Kara IS Daniel, does not appeal to me much YET
Im happy we got rid of the ' Ellen is an older Six' I hated that theory ALOT I so couldn't get into it.
Kara being Daniel is the only thing that could make sense from that story told by both Sam and Ellen.
And it's the only thing that can explain dead Earth!Kara.
But I have to wonder, how did Kara v.2 come into play.
My theory is that when Kara died in Maelstrom she resurrected to the ship Cavil has been keeping Ellen. Without Cavil knowing, Ellen was able to plant Kara in a replica Viper (perhaps built by the centurions?) and gave Kara her own memories of Earth, her memories of the exploded rebel baseships as she saw it when Cavil attacked them and left them for dead, and erased the memory of her death. Then Ellen let her loose during the attack at the nebula to return to the fleet.

I don't think it's going to turn out to be Kara (I think Daniel is much more likely to have been her daddy)
