Wow. You deliver. My brain is protesting reality because I want Helena. In my arms. Right now.

Could Cain and Gina be more tragic? It kills me! I love the way the treadmil serves as a metaphor for how Cain's determination to overcome her fear makes her push herself unnecesarily. Every adjustment she makes is like each crisis she faces. And with each adjustment it hurts her, because she's pushing herself to do something she believes she neds to do, but really doesn't have to. And every misguided choice she makes ends up costing her so much pain, and for each choice there was an alternative she was blind to because of her fear of fear itself.

I really liked the idea of the treadmill, because in the end no matter how far you push yourself you never actually get anywhere. There's no 'top of the staircase' or any big sense of achievement, even finality, so she just keeps going.
You sum up her fear of fear itself brilliantly! Thanks for the great thoughts.

XD Well, 'sweaty Cain' led me to think about the treadmill scene in Razor and the whole idea basically sprung from there, so thank you!

You have no idea how hard I've been trying to get that dream to actually work as a fic. Why can't I just say to people "Look, this made perfect sense to me while I was asleep, don't question it!!" *frustrated flail*

Mmm, my favourite kind of cookies! I was surprised this wasn't more popular though, as there were a lot of good prompts in there! It looked like you put in a lot of effort, too.

Thank you, it's kind of tragic in and of itself that she seems to think she's doing something admirable, and everyone else is going "that's so tragic!"

I always have so much fun with this pairing, I couldn't resist. ♥

bsg_femslash as a whole isn't that popular to begin with. I think a lot of our ranks have been infected by the A/R zombie horde too. Sad.

Should try to get that promptathon up and running again. Hmmm

*laughs* Compared to most of the shipping communities I'm in this is immensely popular. I forget what it's like being in an actually popular community.
In any case, the A/R fans seem to be getting their claws into everything these days. o.0 Not that I'm against that pairing, just apathetic, but I don't think you're wrong there.

I'll probably drop back and grab another prompt from time to time at least, but otherwise...a repimping? =S Maybe some custom icons offered as incentive? Um.

Gina looks back at with an expression that shows concern with a touch of amusement at her confusingly silly little admiral.

UGNH. Gut-wrench.

Excellant job.

This characterization was spot on, and I very much enjoyed the story. Perfect. Simply perfect.
