Staying, Sharing, Living drabble.
He and the President were reviewing the new policy. Cautiously, he took the opportunity to study her profile.
She was gaunt, pale, tired.
Now and then a disinterested look would settle across her features.
Her eyes were dull. She was dying.
“Hey,” his father greeted them both.
After chastising them about the lateness of the hour, his father insisted on ordering them dinner.
As they ate, she and his father sat side by side. He wondered if they realised how often they touched.
She had the spirit to tease William Adama -- mercilessly at times.
Her eyes sparkled. She was alive.
