For some reason it made me even sadder thinking of Bill as a very old man dying then I get in the other 'dying Bill' stories where he's younger. But it was such a happy ending (with many tears).

I've written a couple of post-Daybreak fics now, and I always seem to let Bill live, but he's always a bit of a wreck by Laura's graveside. :(

The idea was to make Bill happy. So, as sad as it all was, I think being with his family would have made Bill happy.

Thanks. I liked this fic (yes, I'm sad and have my own favourites -- I actually put them on my master fic list in order of my preference *snort*). I've written another post Daybreak fic. Bill was very different in it, but one thing he was doing was still mourning Laura. *sob*

I usually find Saul easy to write. He's such a big personality.
