State of the Community
As I'm sure you've all noticed by now, this community has slowed down considerably. We've been getting fewer and fewer people signing up for the monthly challenges and fewer and fewer of those actually finishing their icons. It's not really surprising because BSG has been over for a while now and there's only so much you can do graphics-wise when there's no new material to work with, but I don't really think things are sustainable the way they're going. So we're making changes.
The community isn't going to shut down completely, but we are going to stop trying to run a new round every month. Instead, I think we're going to switch to having some sort of icon challenge every few months, or however often ligeres, dramaturgca, or I feel moved to run something. It may not always be 20in20 challenges; we may try icon battles or themed icons or other things like that. If any of you want to volunteer to host a BSG or Caprica challenge here at any point, please get in touch with me and we'll set something up.
In regards to the most recent round, we currently have three entries. If we can get two more entries, I'll put up voting. If we don't have those entires by the end of the month, I'm going to call it closed and make up participation banners for the people who entered if they want them.
I also know we owe banners to the winners from the past couple of rounds, so those will be coming soon too.
Thank you to ligeres and dramaturgca for all of your help! And thank you to everyone who has participated over the past couple of years. You're all awesome, and hopefully I'll still see you here occasionally.
