Starbuck tried not to look past the cut-off corners of the panphlet she was reading - something that someone had reccomended to her about the delightful vacation spots that once were but were no more, but the name of the person had slipped her mind. Which made it hard for her to return the thing. At the moment this did not matter though, because she had her nose almost literally buried in it.
The Viper pilot was lying in her bunk with the book over her face, trying to sleep despite the fluorescent lighting. In her opinion, the thing was probably trash - but the Nugget had a reason for it. Something important, and they were hell-bent on teaching their training captain a thing or two.
Due to inability to sleep, she looked at the thing. Why was this piece of crap still in existance? Regardless, she looked at the pictures. She had to admit, they were beautiful, luxurious places.
"It's what I think we're fighting for, Captain."
Starbuck looked over to the Nugget - whom had entered without her hearing - and back to the panphlet.
"Vacations?"
"You haven't figured it out yet, have you?"
Starbuck held up the glossy piece of paper. "If I do, do I win one of these fabulous prizes?"
The new recruit rolled his eyes and shook his head, and left just as Lee Adama, fourth Commander of the Pegasus entered. It was Starbuck's turn to roll her eyes as she heard the mandatory interaction of "SIR!" and "At ease." from the two.
"What's the occasion?" Starbuck inquired, skipping all formalities as was her usual behaviour around Apollo.
"Just thought I'd--- ...You can't afford those."
It was then she decided she'd go back to sleep.
Because she looked at the prices.
"Die. Fraking die."
