My trip to INDY 500
I figure I better update since quite a bit has happened since I last did. I went to the INDY 500 and had a BLAST! Omg it was so much fun. I left on Thursday to go back there and my uncle and cousin picked my dad and me up from the airport and then we headed straight there. We set up the camper and went to bed but only to wake up in the morning to hear the Indy cars practicing at 220mph! That was cool. We were right across the street from the track. So we went and bought some gifts and watched a race. I also go to see OCC (orange county choppers). They had their bikes out for us to see and I actually got to see the ones they made on TV, but I didn’t actually get to see the guys.
Saturday we went to the Indy Museum and took a lap around the track which I thought was totally cool. But later that night there was a huge freakin party in the street… Mardi Gras style. They had to block off the entire street. I got some beads, but which girl didn’t? lol. I was really missing Bryan while I was gone. I wanted him there with me and wish he could have been.
Sunday was the big day and we were at the track by 9am. We watched the parade from our seats which were right behind the pits. There were a lot of famous people there like Carol Burnett, OCC, Troy from the Apprentice, the guy who won Survivor, Wynona Judd, and many more I’m sure I’m forgetting. Collen Powell drove the pace car and they had a stealth bomber fly over head. In all I had a wonderful time at the race, even if Danica Patrick didn’t win (but she did lead the race for quite a few laps and came in 4th).
I got to my Grandma’s on Sunday night and Monday the family all went to breakfast and I saw my grandpa who’s not looking so well. I didn’t do much while I was in MI, but Brian (my cousin) took me shopping and I hung out with him and his gf/wife/whatever and their boys. Omg I love those boys soooo much. So cute! Went shopping with grandma for a new coffee pot… which I’m not even about to get into that story right now. I went to the beach one day and also had the best pizza in the world made by Roma’s. yummmm!
I got back on Saturday and finally got to see my baby and I missed him soooo much. That night we headed down to Modesto because Sunday we went to B93.1 Summer Fest and met up with Ashley (cakes), her mom, sister, and sister’s friend where all there and that was cool.
Now it’s back to real life and tomorrow night I’m going with Bryan, Denney, (maybe Pops and Danielle) go camping. I’m excited to see where Bryan’s camping spot is.
Now that I have the Indy 500 trip out of the way, all I have to do is prepare for Hume Lake camp which is the last week of June, or 2 weeks away. Man… I’m just a busy little girl. Hehe.
