Dear JOE,
It's spring time and it is still raining and gloomy outside, yet the flower buds and leaves on the trees seem to be persevering and making their way into life nevertheless. Life seems to be going pretty well these days. I have a boyfriend and he's simply wonderful. We really enjoy each other's company and spend much of our free time together. He seems to be happy with everything as well. However, I'm writing to you today because I have a question about memories.
What is it about the human spirit that makes us hold on to memories so tight and dear? How is it that moments that happened so long ago can still touch our hearts even today, or that this instant might become a future memory? Although most of the memories are wonderful, there are also some ones you wish you could just forget. Why? Why do we hold on? Why do we do what we do? I just can't seem to figure it out, but I’m working on it.
I think it's time for me to get back to reality for the time being. Hope your day doesn't go unfulfilled.
Always,
Me
