So..
So I've been informed that I in no way update my journal enough. With this I concur. Therefore, I submit to you, my myriad of readers, an update:
I decided some weeks ago that I would come down and visit my family in New Orleans. So here I sit on New Year's Eve watching television. What are my plans for night? NOTHING, that's what. Because I have decided to come down, I have given up my chance to be in Chicago for New Year's. I'm not quite sure how much fun I would have had in Chicago as opposed to New Orleans, but it must have been better than what will happen tonight; And I think I know why.
When I am in Chicago, I am a little freer to do what I want since my gracious father is 15 hours away from me. I know it's sad, but I still act "appropriately" when I'm down my parents. That's the whole reason I left in the first place - to get away from any perception of their prying eyes (just my dad actually). I think the dad might be in for a surprise when he comes to visit me in Chicago one day...
But other than the lazy night I apparently have in store (unless Celia calls me), I have yet to plan for the Special Project that I am leading at LSMSA starting on the 3rd. I have an inkling of what topics I want to cover, but I'm not exactly sure how I will be covering them. I suppose they'll be in for a surprise.
Further, I'm creating a decent web page for the MAYA Program. I'm a little late in getting the publications out for that one. I am on the same time line I was on last year, and I wasn't happy with it then either. I suppose my work at IMSA has taken more time and energy than I expected it to... I hope MAYA does not suffer too much because of it.
I suppose that a big enough update... I hope your happier Zach :-P
