party and salmon burgers
I'm glad that I finally broke down and braved the bus system out to milwaukie to go to Emily Baker's birthday party. Tri-Met is fucked up with their trip planning suggestions though and I'm glad I decided to take matters into my own hands and ride my own way. Otherwise I would have had to ride out to oregon city and then back towards Portland. Stupid bus system.
Being in a pool was pretty nice though, and air conditioning was splendid and enjoying the heat of the sun due to being soaking wet and not sweating wet was also splendid. It was also very fun to experience the wierdness of Christina Marino. I love her! And it was so nice to see so many people from choir again. I missed them! I especially enjoyed the salmon burgers I ate, and the very chocolatey chocolate cake. Twas a fun day.
Kirsten and I are going to the Jazz festival today at pge park. She got free tickets through work becuase her job is awesome. The only thing is that it's smooth jazz today, so I think we're gong to go in the evening. I'm kind of irritated because she suggested I invite my recent jazz trumpeter action friend to join us, but he apparantly is not as interested in dating becuase he has a date with someone else? So much for that. I can't say I'm all that disappointed about him though, I kind of saw it coming...he has arrogant uncommunicative selfish bastard written all over him in spite of his best efforts to keep them hidden. I suppose it was stupid of me to think anything could come of it.
Since it is already pretty fucking hot in our apartment right now, I'm thinking I might go to the keller fountain and soak. Anyone want to join me?
