For the record, it's kind of early right now.
I spent yesterday applying for jobs. I went to the tile factory where my friend Mark works to apply for a job in the shipping department and then I applied at Mr. Formal where I told her tales of my sordid employment history and pretty much shot myself in the foot. It didn't really matter though becasue she was looking for people to work in the "nearby" stores, meaning clackamas, beaverton and greshem. Perhaps nearby if you have a car, otherwise, not so much. I got home and applied at Hollywood Video as well. I felt alot better about filling out that application because someone my age who goes to college and wants to work somewhere like there has a pretty decent chance I think.
Today I'm going to apply at Whole Foods. I was going to apply at Mio Gelato, but I'm pretty sure they've just finished their hiring, so I think I will not waste the effort.
My resume really really sucks though, and, while one or two jobs where the length of my employment was my fault, most of them were not. It's rather unfair when, say, you get a job somewhere to replace the managers daughter who then can't find a new job, so they nit-pick at everything you do to have reason to fire you so she can have her old job back. The thing about this is that it doesn't sound legitimate to someone at say, Mr. Formal. To them is sounds like your making shit up and you're bitter about being fired. I really need to come up with a better lie so that I can use that job. I actually don't usually, but in a tuxedo rental place, that's what my experience is. Oh well.
On to bigger and better things!
