I've read and laughed hysterically at a thousand of these things, and I just finished my final uni exam for the year a couple of days ago, so I figured that I might have a go at snarking one of these books myself

I truly do feel for the friends that got left behind. How can it not be a case of wracking your brain while trying to think if you said or did something to your friends that won't even acknowledge your existence anymore?-- In the party that they throw later in this book where they bring out a surprise cake for Mary Anne, Stacey (who puts together the guest list) invites everyone from her old table, but not the Shillaber twins, who Kristy and Mary Anne sat with every day for two whole years. I've read a heap of the books, but not all of them (maybe 30 or 35 books out of the first 50), and I don't recall the twins ever being mentioned again.
Shit, you should see them when they're on vacation and Kristy just has to call a meeting during those times!-- I remember Kristy doing that in "Stacey's Mistake" where they all go to New York. It honestly makes no sense to me at all. If they're on vacation, they're obviously going to be together... all the time. WHY can't they just sit down and talk about whatever needs to be discussed?! WHY does it have to be an official meeting?!! WHY?!!!
I'm honestly surprised this doesn't happen more often. 3x a week for a 30 minute meeting isn't that much time when it concerns adults that are pretty busy.-- I agree with this. 5:30-6 is such a bad time too. I am very rarely home before 6. But I guess since most of the clients are stay-at-home mothers, it's not a big deal. I don't understand why the cult members don't just personally give their clients their private phone numbers though, and say "call me any time". I'm sure all the kids have their favourite baby sitter who they specifically ask for - why does every job have to be offered to every member, and arranged at an official meeting? And another thing - if Claudia has to deal with all of these extra phone calls outside of meeting times, WHY isn't she allowed to keep the jobs for herself? They say that they allowed Claudia to be the vice president because of the fact that they tie up her phone line and eat her food, and since she has to deal with a shitload of extra phone calls all the fucking time. Titles don't mean shit though. She should be able to keep those extra jobs for herself! If I had to make four phone calls (and eventually six phone calls) every time I received one myself, I would be out of that club before you could say "Luevulle".
