Just got the new TOS also? It was in Russian for me, and I had to alter the URL to get it in English, and it very clearly wasn't written by a native-speaker of English. So I think something's going to happen as well pretty soon.

I think Dreamwidth would be the closest community similar to this one. Tumblr wouldn't work at all for this. Dreamwidth would, and so would a private forum somewhere. I can look into a private forum if you're interested in considering that. The only issue may be hosting, but we have unlimited hosting and so it wouldn't be anything to us to host it (for free) the way we're hosting some costume societies and some other sizable websites. Or if you'd like to host, a patreon or something would be set up so we can all chip in as we can to help cost the costs. I know not everyone active here can afford to chip in, and that's fine, but there's enough entertainment here that I think that those of us who can would be glad to. I'd miss this community if it went away. I've been reading here for years, and it helped distract me when I was going through fertility treatments and some losses back in 2008. It might sound silly, but this group is sentimental to me, and probably to a lot of the rest of the people here.

That's weird. I could see mine in English when it popped up. I've got a translator add on for my browser so it can translate Falco websites for me to read. It didn't pop up so I know it didn't translate it for me.

And no, what you're saying doesn't sound silly at all. I love coming here and laughing at the snarks on days when I feel really down. It makes me feel a bit better. :)

It's not silly! And this community isn't going anywhere. I do plan on keeping it on LJ as long as possible, but want a backup plan just in case. So far DW works.

You're right that tumblr wouldn't really work. It's not the right platform.
