but I wouldn’t call anything that happened traumatic--Idk, I think I'd call it traumatic having to put up with Dawn's shit. :D

Am I supposed to believe that Dawn was traumatized by Richard enjoying a cup of coffee and reading the paper?--That whole part was so stupid. It's not like Richard forces everybody to do things his way. He gets up early and lets the rest of the family sleep in. I doubt Richard's somebody that's banging pots and pans around, turning the radio on full blast, etc.

Or become an activist, but not an activist that actually gets something accomplished.--We can forget about that one. Dawn's gonna pout like a baby and bitch if she isn't getting her ass kissed for the subject she's an activist for. "I'll scream if I have to hear about ________ one more time!"

I don’t see why the writers have to act like a certain character trait has been there all along.--I just wish this stuff had stayed. The girls have very few core character traits that are mentioned in every single book. I don't see why they couldn't have swapped out some of the stuff they mention in every book and add in something else. We all know Claudia's main traits are art, junk food, kids and fashion. Why can't the swap out fashion and junk food and put in something else?

Also, how does Kristy feel about Dawn and Claudia taking sailing lessons?--"It better not interfere with the cult/babysitting or you'll have to give it up. The cult should be your #1 priority!" That's how I picture it in my mind.

So do the Kishis take an annual vacation or something?--And it's actually a Kishi family vacation? It's just the Kishis? Wow, I'm shocked tbh.

I actually can see Kristy telling someone they aren’t allowed to go on vacation because they need to be there for the BSC.--You and me both. If she'll pull that shit on something causal like a barbecue, you know she'll try it for vacations. And the sad thing is these girls are so fucking brainwashed they'd probably pitch a fit if their parents shut down the idea of a 13 year old dictating how they vacation.

Dawn is like, “Duh. Who else would you root for?”--*flips Dawn off*

Or maybe Dawn is angry--This is my guess. You know how these girls get wild hairs up their asses. "You can root for Claudia if she's competing against a non-BSC member. Since I'm your sister and best friend, you better root for me and only me! I'm so annoyed you're rooting for Claudia to WIN instead of rooting for her hitting something and the boat sinking. What's wrong with you Mary Anne?" "*Mary Anne cries*

Also, if Claudia feels so badly about her report card, why hasn’t she asked for help?--I was just reading a snark for Stacey tutoring Claudia and Claudia acted like such a bitch. I'm not a Stacey fan. I'll give a +1 for Stacey volunteering to help Claudia. And the stuff Stacey was doing, I don't see a problem with. One thing involved not tutoring in Claudia's room. You know Claudia would be distracted by everything in that room. "Let me find some candy. Let me eat the candy. What were you saying about that school crap again? Oooh, I need to pick out what I'm gonna wear to school tomorrow. Ugh, I'm so bored listening to her drone on and on about school crap. *draws a picture*, etc"

I don’t know why I find that funny, but I do.--It made me smile. Just seems like a realistic angle for something to happen and the character's implied to say a curse word instead of "BULLFROGS!"

Mary Anne mentions how hard it is for Claudia to have an older sister as a genius.--I feel like I'm a broken record. Please stop blaming Janine for Claudia being a flake. Claudia at least has to put forth an effort. She can't just have the closed text book on her desk and all the information in the book zap into her brain. And like I said on other snarks, Janine's nice. Claudia could have a sister that clearly puts her down and makes her feel like a sponge would have a higher IQ than she does.

Janine could be a total asshole and constantly rub the fact that she’s smarter than Claudia in her face--Exactly! And I think Janine's being her real self. I don't think she's putting on an act to make Claudia feel bad. I think that's the way Janine acts and talks. I can't imagine putting somebody in the situation of making them feel like they have to dumb themselves down when you talk to me/interact with me.

Instead Janine helps Claudia with her homework and doesn’t smack her upside the head with a textbook.--And holy shit, that can't be easy. Apply what I said about the Stacey reply to this comment. I bet Janine spends half the tutoring time telling her to focus because clearly she's off in lala land.

I’m quite sure Karen is some sort of monster that has everyone under mind control.--Billy Mumy's Twilight Zone appearance. "It's a Good Life"

I would pay to see the BSC have to deal with more kids that aren’t drinking the Kool-Aid.--Wouldn't last a month. These girls can only handle Stepfords. They'd quit babysitting in a heartbeat if they met kids that actually acted like normal kids. "I suddenly realized that I wasn't crazy about babysitting anymore. I also felt like I needed to get a life because I don't really like kids anymore either."

I’m just imagining the parents doing jack shit while Mallory runs around doing everything.--Exactly!

Actually, I think in the ninth book Sharon was dating someone other than Richard and Dawn didn’t like him.--The Trip-Man?

Dawn would purposefully forget to tell him.--*nods*

I’m just imagining how much Dawn would hate my coworker because she dyes her hair purple and blue and she’s in her sixties. --That sounds cool!

So you’re going to ask a fucking four year old to be a crew member?--*head desk*

I’m sure that happens to a lot of people.--Agreed.

You’d think such a sweet, understanding person--*snorts*

Knowing Mary Anne she was probably imagining Logan was cheating on her.--LOL!

Enjoyed the snark! :)
