Boogs is such a cute nickname! I just don't think Squirt would be cool with something that can either be interpeted as a bodily function or shortness.
They don't really talk much about Rosie's role in MMiSL. When she's practicing for the part, Claudia's not even with her.
Yeah, I'm really not a fan of Claudia just not trying at anything because she doesn't want to be like Janine. I always thought that was a really lame excuse. And does she really think she'll get anywhere in life without knowing even basic spelling? Even if she was a great artist, she needs to know how to function. I foresee her getting massively ripped off in her future.
Rosie does mention she gets residuals for her commercial and that they're paying for her to go to college. So we can add that to the list of things Ann knows nothing about.
Oh, I was always so weirded out at her teachers coming to rehearse with her with only Claudia home! I always thought that that was weird and inappropriate.

OMG I didn't even think about that embarrassing body function teen boys have at times they'd rather not. LOL!
I've never heard of residuals for TV commercials. Even famous people get flat fees. In the early 90's, it was expected that four years of college could cost $50k. No commercial will pay that and residuals to a kid who isn't massively famous (and even then, it's usually a flat fee that takes into account how often a commercial is likely to play). Why on earth would a commercial company do that when there are so many people wanting to be on TV, even commercials, that they'd do it for free? That makes less sense than me getting a tiny residual for each time the episodes I was an extra in aired...all one time each will air since The Librarians sucks. It just doesn't happen.
Good point about the reason Claudia may not try. If she can't be as geniusy as Janine, may as well do the opposite.
