Half a childhood (just half; these books ate the rest) spent reading these books tells me there will be plenty of things worth snarking and that it’s silly to focus on the small things

“Been awhile since I've read that book/read a snark for that book but wasn’t it a case of Hoffman getting onto Karen instead of letting her get away with everything? I would think the other kids would’ve loved seeing that happen.” - I wish I knew, I haven’t read that one...but even I would love to see it, and I don’t have to deal with her everyday, so I bet you’re right :p

“Why bother? Only thing that she’s told is ‘Indoor voice’ and that’s about it.” - Yep, and I’m pretty sure that Karen can make herself heard from any corner in the classroom . . . I’m surprised she didn’t tell us it’s because she’s just so lovable the teacher wants to keep her close by!

“WHY WHY WHY? Seriously, do any of you notice socks unless they have a wacky design on them? I know I don’t and didn’t!” - Neither do I; I’m either keeping my eyes to myself or looking at someone’s hairstyle or earrings . . . but my future-husband always notices footwear and says something like, ‘Can’t judge a walking person by their vehicle, so their shoes are the next best thing’. I’m not sure why he bothers noticing, as he hates nearly all the footwear he sees . . . it seems like such a random thing to be noticing that I always laugh when he comments on someone’s shoes.

“lol, it can’t be worse than SMS! “Elvis fought in the Civil War, when’s the next dance?” - That sounds like something either Claudia or Abby would say . . . for some reason the Elvis bit is really familiar, I must have read that one recently :p

Maybe Abby was daydreaming about Leave it to Beaver on the days they covered the Civil War? lol, I still can't wrap my head around that one.
