I grew up in the 80s. I often went to the beach. And nowhere could I find souvenirs for a dollar or under. I'm too lazy to look up when Ann grew up, but I'm guessing that's how she gets her prices. Because I knew that things costing a dollar or the BSC going on shopping trips making five dollars a job was bullshit. And if you have 7 year olds thinking your writing is garbage, maybe don't write.
