Mal stands up for herself; however, and does a pretty good job of it. --I'll give credit where it's due. I'm glad Mallory stood up for herself. I put myself in that situation and I honestly think I would've been so shocked that I wouldn't have been able to say anything at all and the only thing I could say would be long after the fact.
K-Ron’s co-CITs are all sooo cool, because they wear nail polish and makeup and have boyfriends. She feels like a little kid compared to them, even though it is totally normal for a thirteen-year-old not to have a boyfriend or wear makeup.--I can't believe KRISTY is the one to take notice of any of this stuff. This is all stuff she really doesn't give a fuck about.
They then start talking about how K-Ron’s looks would improve with makeup.--Ugh. Something tells me I'm gonna side with Kristy for this plotline. Again, I'm not shitting all over the people that choose to wear makeup. Some just aren't into it. It'd be a different case entirely if Kristy's looking through their makeup that's set out and she says something like "I'd like to try wearing some of this but I'm not really sure how to put it on so it looks good on me instead of looking like a kid playing with mom's makeup."
I actually like K-Ron in this book.--It seems like we might have gotten "Little Sister" Kristy in this book. I stand with what I've said on other snarks about there being two Kristys. The Kristy in LS acts completely different than the dictator in the BSC books.
the staff working the canteen comment on Claudia’s figure and complexion and how it stays perfect despite what she eats.--*rolls eyes* Don't you just love how they drop a tidbit from the chapter 2s after the fact?
