I can see giving Mal responsibilities because she's the oldest, but the Pikes don't balance it out with giving her any privileges. They expect her to be grown up and mature and look after her siblings but they don't let her have a say in her clothes? Or in how her hair is cut? I would love for Mal to finally say 'Fuck this noise' and start rebelling. I've actually been contemplating doing some fanfic where Mal is treated right. But I'm so bad at fiction.

Lol! I think I used to like Dawn too because of her legible handwriting. Mary Anne was my actual fave but I HATED her handwriting. And Claudia's I would usually skip all together. I remember I used to try to copy Stacey's handwriting and actually my own IS pretty close. I don't heart my Is and I write on a slant but otherwise it's close.

I think the BSC forgets that Jenny is only four. And for those four years she was an only child. OF COURSE she's gonna be a little spoiled. And like you said, she's not that big of a brat if you compare her to the likes of Karen. Karen can be downright MALICIOUS. Karen lies. Karen steals. Karen bullies. Jenny...raised her voice a few times? Does Jenny regularly, PURPOSELY frighten her younger sibling? Does Jenny steal from her family and lose heirlooms? Did Jenny throw a screaming fit because she wanted a part in a play? And Karen is like twice her age! All these things Karen gets away with and even rewarded for but Jenny can't say she wants to paint? God, what is WRONG with Ann?!
