Yikes! I'm sorry I'm late on this yet again! I was feeling down again and just didn't feel like writing. Which is stupid because I realised that I feel better when I keep myself occupied. Even though it's a weird kind of better as reading about K. Ron and her horrendous ego make me want to punch a hole in the wall. I'm trying to remember this book

When I'm a mother I'm not even sure I'd know how to use a tourniquet. You're right: THIS IS NOT NURSING SCHOOL. If a kid has a serious enough injury, then you call 911. Didn't K.Ron herself do that when Jackie fell out of the tree? I don't really remember.
The way Ann writes Gabbie's character gives me a lump in my throat.

Mallory's "accidents" were typical every day things. Not to mention, her asking Gabbie if she's excited about seeing her mom and sister is a totally normal question. Gabbie cried, so what. Two-year-olds cry. It's impossible to be with a two-year-old and for them not to cry. And I appreciate Gabbie displaying a normal two-year-old behavior for once.
It always annoyed me that K.Ron thought their club was in trouble cause the Pikes hired Mal. Mal is their own daughter-- why wouldn't they hire her? Also, I'm with you, I would NEVER hire the BSC again if I knew the abuse they put my daughter through. In fact, I wouldn't even allow her to join the club once the BSC decided to accept her. I would tell her to stay the fuck away from those sleazebags.
I'm with the person above me--- "vial of ball sweat" had me cracking up.
I can't wait for more! Even though I hate this book with a burning passion because of the abuse that's not considered abuse by Ann, your snarking is worth it.

If you were Dee, you wouldn't care. Dee and John set her up for it.
