BSC SS# 4: BABYSITTERS’ ISLAND ADVENTURE OR BEWARE OF THE OTHERS!! PART 1!!Sorry my peeps; but after the insanity of the Sea City Trilogy; I needed a few days off to rest and recharge my batteries. I swear; I nearly snapped after the Sea City Super Special; that book was shit!! Although, judging by everyone’s comments; everyone likes it; so it was

I have no idea why the Hell Jamie was even there in the first place!!--lol, here comes the Roseanne references again. :D I think of the episode when Darlene and Molly went off to the concert. Molly leaves Darlene in the parking lot to go screw around and Darlene has to get back home on her own. Dan was really arguing with Roseanne about the fact Roseanne let her go to begin with and how he doesn't even want to think of what could've happened to Darlene since she was so damn late getting home. Anyway, I wonder how many of the parents in Stoneybrook have similar arguments. I know arguing and bitching won't change what's happened but I think it'd would be realistic to have some anger thrown in there. You have to admit it's a drastic difference between a 16 year old girl that knew she wanted to go to a concert/had to get permission versus a 4 year old where it all falls into the parents lap. Holy shit, a 4 year old would probably beg to eat ice cream every morning for breakfast. Doesn't mean you give into that whim.
WHEN THE FUCK DID SHE DO ALL THAT? --That would've been nice to throw into a few of the chapter 2s. They could've at least thrown in different interests and talked about different things instead of the usual shit they talk about.
Mary Anne even says as much and tells Dawn that Claudia’s feeling shitty about her fucking report card again and deserves to feel good about herself.--Wow, we actually have something nice and sympathetic coming out of Mary Anne's mouth.
I can agree with that, but jeez this girl fails EVERY FUCKING REPORT CARD AND REFUSES TO TRY HARDER TO GO BETTER!!!--It's in Claudia's lap, definitely. Time warp aside, you'd think it'd be a case of "I need to try harder so I'm able to graduate with my friends." "I need to do better so I can get the hell out of middle school and high school." I'm also willing to put a bit of the blame on the Kishi parents. I would've been damned proud if I had a kid bringing home a B if she's usually bringing in failing grades. I certainly wouldn't be chewing her ass out or guilt tripping her because she didn't bring in the A.
Anyway, even with that bullshit; the race ends in a fucking tie. --*rolls eyes*
I honestly screamed with laughter when I saw Stacey's Nomi picture. What a perfect fit!
Excellent snark!

The Kishis being disappointed with Claudia because of her B makes me think of, on Roseanne, when Becky wrote a History paper for Darlene and the paper gets graded a B. Roseanne was really proud of Darlene for achieving that grade but when she found out it was really Becky's work, she was like, " You only got a B?"
pi_beta_alpha: LOL, high five. Love that scene.

I also wonder how many teachers made remarks about Claudia's school work? "I expected better from you since your sister is such a genius." Either way it's a very unhealthy thing to have to put up with. I agree that Claudia needs to try harder for her own sake but she needs support from the people around her. And it seems like she didn't really have that support after Mimi died.

I think you're right, Roseanne and Jackie didn't put it together like they should've.
I don't remember which book it was but I do remember Claud saying once that she hates meeting most new (to her) teachers because they're always saying, "I know what to expect from you because you're Janine's sister" and then they're always disappointed. Claudia's Potrait maybe.
