i gotta find&read that book again! i got it out of the library many many years ago, i wonder if they still have it...
i don't think i've ever heard of june foley, what did she write?
i have a box of books i had as a child&teenager that i've been keeping in case i ever have kids. i actually dragged it out over the holidays for myself&was so thrilled i still had some totally awesome books, but at the same time, totally crushed cuz it seemed some went the same way as my bsc books - my dad disposed of them. :x he decided to hate on books awhile back&any of my books that got somehow left behind when i moved got donated to goodwill (i live closer to the man than any goodwill in the city, but no, he couldn't drop my books off for me or get me to get 'em. grrr). not to mention the vast majority of my mother's collection of books (she died almost 10 years ago. i might add most of those books were rare&/or first editions!)&...YEAH, i got a LOT of rage about that shit. lol. so my husband letting me re-collect my books is a gigantic deal for me. he's awesome as hell.
awww, thank you!! :D maybe one day i'll give it a shot after all! :) &it'd be awesome to see your take on another super special! i always loved the super specials because they were MASSIVE compared to the regular books. &the stories were hilars as well. or, to me back then, soooooooo cool! lol!
June Foley wrote some stuff about a girl with a weird name who stopped dating boys for three months. Her best friend fell in love with her teacher. I only read one book and it wasn't bad, just weird to think of now. The girls in the book were only like fourteen I think.
Sorry about ur books, I would have been pissed and I imagine you were too. My husband knows not to touch my books without asking and is happy I read so much and actually can talk to him about it, not just give a vague recollection of what I read. Our Husbands flipping rock!!
I want to do another super special, but it will have to be in awhile.
