Oh, boy, oh, boy. This book. I don't remember the massive bitchitude in it but I tell ya. It's at near fatal levels. I get it. I get that having your divorcee parent date someone isn't always ideal. But, Jesus Christ. Carol has been nothing but pleasent and very, very accommodating to Dawn and the BSC. She's not acting like a dickhead, refusing to ( Read more... )

I don't know what blonde dye would do to red hair, but I imagine the result would not be attractive. Enjoying this snark very much!

Some people just can't pass for dyed blonde hair. This makes me think of a picture I saw of Jennifer Love Hewitt and she had blonde hair, it just didn't look right because it made her look washed out. I imagine Mallory looking the same way.

Thank you! I'm pretty sure that adding blonde dye to red hair would just make it orange-y. I need new hair dying supplies myself and when I go to pick them up, I'm gonna check the chart on the boxes that show the different effects depending on what colour you're putting it on.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe an orange or pinkish result. I think the lighter boxes even recommend not to use on dark hair, but I've never gone full blonde, so not sure. I have naturally medium brown hair and I keep it dyed dark red most of the time.

It's like dyeing dark hair (I have naturally very dark brown hair, so voice of experience.) You CAN go blonde, but it takes a chemical strip and a professional dye job over the bleached-out hair for it not to look like crap. Heck, once I use a dark brown or black, I have to grow my hair out or trying to color it even with permanent drugstore color will just make it even darker.

The only time I put blonde in my hair, it was highlights to go over red, and I definitely had a professional do them for me. Red is a hard color to get rid of, even when I try to go back to brown or black, the red always shows through, so I just stick with shades of red now.
