Claudia and the New Girl Chapters 11-15
Okay, thank god this is almost over. This book has been a nightmare!
Chapter 11
Babysitting at the Rodowskys. Kinda boring. Ashley comes up to Claud during a game of Red Light, Green Light and says "I just don't understand why you waste all your time on... all this" Okay, if I were the babysittee, I would be horribly offended. Actually, I think Ashley is acting a little bit like Kristy and the rest of the BSC. If someone has a different intrest, it's "wasting your time". Ashley isn't much better then the BSC. Claudia disses Ashley and Ashley says "This is the thanks I get? You are ungrateful, foolish, and a bad friend" and filps her hair in Claud's face. Literally, it says "with a swish of her hair" After she leaves, Claudia realizes that nobody likes her now. Jackie interrupts her thoughts to ask her to untie a knot in his shoe and Claud decides Jackie will be a great subject for the sculpture contest.
Chapter 12
Yet another Rodowsky sitting job with Mary Anne. Claud comes over to ask Jackie's permission to sculpt him. He agrees, after asking Claudia if it will hurt. Is Jackie really that dumb???? Mary Anne asks if Ashley is Claud's best friend now, to which Claudia replies no. Ashley barges in, yells at Claud, and goes home. Um... okay? Claud has to skip another meeting to go to the library and MA says she'll tell the others.
Chapter 13
Claudia makes a to-do list and she does the stuff on it. She calls Ashley, calls Stacey, to whom she apologizes. Why should she have to apologize? Stacey was the one who left mean notes and messed up her junk food. All Claudia did was not sit with her at lunch. Next on her list is Kristy and she tells her she will be going to meetings again. Claudia catches up with her schoolwork and tells Mrs. Baehr that she won't be able to complete he sculpture in time. As she is doing her work, she finds a note from Kristy-

Okay, so the note didn't have Kristy's name on it, no matter how much we all wish it did.
Chapter 14
Claudia goes to the Rodowsky's house and tells Jackie his head will not be entered in the contest. Jackie tells Claud he loves her. Is it really that common to tell a 13 yr. old babysitter you love her when you are 8? Isn't that the cooties age? Claudia goes home to the meeting and gives a poem apology, which her friends accept, without apologizing for any of the things they did. Such great friends.
Chapter 15
Claud and Co. are at the sculpture thingy, aand Claudia is nervous for no reason. It turns out Mrs. Baehr has entered Jackie's head as a work in progress. Ashley won the contest with her fire hydrant. Kristy shows Claudia that her sculpture in progress has gotten an honorable mention and would have won first prize if she had finished. Claudia accepts congrats from everyone. The next day at lunch, Claud asks Ashley if she wants to sit at the BSC table. Kristy expresses her feelings by scowling at Claudia, because Ashley's weirdness will affect Kristy's popularity. Either that or they just don't alllow non-cult members to sit at their table. Kristy says the meat smells like old sneakers and athlete's foot cream, which fits into her sports trait. Ashley says it smells like Turpentine andrubber cement, which fits in to her only trait, art. Claudia and Ashley got into a discussion about sculptures, and her friends listens, just as Ashley listens to a discussion about babysitters. Is that seriously what 13 year old girls talk about? Sculpture and babysitting? No gossip? Whatevs.
Well, that's over. Sorry it was short. Maybe next time I'll do better. Speaking of next time, any ideas on what I should do next?
