Ah, finally at the end of this ass kissing book. Does Ann not realise that New York is not the centre of the multiverse? Does she not realise that the things she acts like are so exclusive and special can really be found in any big city? Like, I love Seattle. I'm going to be moving there. But aside from the bay and the nice weather, there's stuff ( Read more... )

If Quint's parents have no problem paying five figures for him to go take classes that aren't even offered at Juilliard, that just goes to show how no one in these books are really poor. You also don't just waltz in for an audition and hear back within a week. It's a long process, and only at certain times during the year.

Any computer in 1991 was expensive. The entire neighborhood found out in about three seconds when my family got one. Dot-matrix paper needs to make a come-back.

Yeah, Quint's parents didn't seem put out at all when he said it would be expensive. I think the only poor people in Ann's world are the homeless people Dawn was snotting about.

And thanks for saying what that paper was called! Now I'm sorely tempted to buy some and just sit around folding accordions!

I'm a computer-nerd. :) Some companies call it "continuous paper for dot-matrix printers," but it's commonly known as dot-matrix paper because that's what it's used for.

There was a homeless person Kristy was going to give money to until Stacey stopped her from opening her purse (a very-un-Kristy thing to have), and I think a homeless person Stacey used to talk to, though I may be mixing up series on that one.

No, Stacey talked to a homeless person. Her name's Judy. She's mentioned in Stacey's Mistake and I think Stacey tells her that her parents are divorcing.

That's it! Judy! Homeless lady living right outside Stacey's building.
