Welcome Back, Stacey!
I know its been done before, but I was home sick the day I started this one, and nothing warms the cockles of one’s heart more than snarking, whatever the subject matter. I spent large quantities of my day lying around, catching up on some great snarks on here, which served as my muse. Hope it’s not too random, I got some

Her dad is all, hey why don’t you try WORKING or spending time with your daughter, rather than blowing 2G on jewelry.--I can't believe Maureen thought it was a legitimate thing to say. "I'm blowing so much money because I'm bored!" There's plenty of things she can still do when she's bored without going on a bunch of shopping sprees!
Nobody else’s parents have big problems.”--I'm gonna defend Claudia and Laine here. It really is hard for some people to put themselves in another person's shoes. If both of their parents have pretty solid marriages that feature little to no fighting, it seems like all they'd be able to do is listen. As much as I hate Dawn, at least she'd have more to add to the conversation because she know what it's like to have parents that fight and eventually divorce.
Maureen gets the “Worst Breaker of Bad News Ever Award” by basically saying they were getting a divorce in a mere two sentences--I can get that. I'd honestly rather it be said to me straight out instead of beating around the bush.
AND MY BLOOD PRESSURE REACHES STROKE LEVELS OVER THESE TWO SUPPOSED BEST FRIENDS--Maybe not in this book, but Stacey's also been a shitty friend to Claudia--especially in Stacey's Lie.
Claudia is downright excited and is shrieking in joy, I KID YOU NOT. --I know I defended Claudia and Laine earlier. I won't defend them now. It's not like she's moving or staying for the hell of it. Her parents just busted up. Stop acting like it's party time.
She says the worst part is over,--I don't think so. Yeah, at least they won't be in the same place bitching at each other. I'm just saying they won't even be able to put their own hatred to the side so they can still co-parent successfully. Then again, I bet it's a very small group of people that can do that instead of it being World War 3 if they have to even talk on the phone to each other.
She reminded me of ZZ Ziff, and I don’t need any more explanation than that.--Salute Your Shorts! I love that show! I just wish Dawn had been more like ZZ or even Topanga in the first season of Boy Meets World. I think I might like her character better if that had happened. Yeah, I realize both shows came after the BSC started.
GOD, THESE CONTACTS. Stacey decides to put together a plan to get her parents back together. --I'll give credit due. There's very few topics the series touched base on that really hit the point home, was completely realistic, etc. Overall I'm used to batshit insanery. This is at least a topic they hit out of the ball park imo.
