Why would they call sweater-pants skants? Wouldn't skants be the combination of skirt and pants? Shouldn't sweater-pants be swants?

If anyone wishes to see it: What Claudia Wore had a post about sweater-pants last October.

And why wouldn't Karen wear her sweater-pants with the buttons to the front so she could button them up herself? The first Regretsy pic has the button-side (though it's a zipper in the pic) facing front.

The original, ahem, fashion item featured on Regretsy was billed as a skirt/pants combination. Hence, 'skants'. ;)

The Karen thing is probably just because she's a idiot.
