Okay, did Logan used to be sarcastic? Because that's actually funny.

I think he used to be like Shannon - the one character with a semblance of personality who actually sort of snarked the BSC. Then they decided to make him boring and possessive.

Especially when you don't even shave?!

No kidding! I knew exactly one kid in middle school with facial hair.

Claudia's sending a postcard to Ashley, for some reason. I thought they weren't friends any more.

Well spotted! Though you could argue that having a huge blow-out doesn't mean much for teens, because they do tend to rotate through friendships. Still, she's never mentioned, so that's a little less plausible.

I know it's another decade or so before email, but still.

And I think it was around, just not as popular, so there could be ways for Claudia to get access to email.

She's asleep, but Kristy wakes her up to make sure that she's okay.

O_o That's horrible.

Janine probably had internet access, what with all the research she does. I could see her offering Claud the use of her computer every once in a while if Claud offered to do the dishes on Janine's nite or something like that.

Summer Vacation came out in 1989, so I don't think the internet was mainstream yet.

However, Janine has a laptop and they talk about e-mail in the Friends Forever series and they are the same age in those books. Silly BSC time warp.

Even if she did, the internet (for most people lucky enough to actually have it) was crazy expensive back then. You actually had to be careful to stay within a set number of minutes each month and all that, if I recall correctly...

That's true. It's weird, though, that she's basically NEVER mentioned again despite Claudia's nine million art classes.
