My 100 (101, in January) year old aunt Puv, passed away today.
She lived in the house on the corner of Pine, with all the wooden animals; and the U.S. is US sign.
She was one of the first woman tank drivers in WWII.
She loved drinking Baileys Irish Cream, and has lived in the same house that her father, my great great grandpa built.
She owned a store in Detriot, that got robbed, and her husband got killed by him, she got hit with the gun, and lost all hearing at a young age.
She didn't have a good memory, but could always play pretend, and make anyone smile.
Her house and everything inside of it, is an antique.
She had plastic coverings on her couch.
She kept every letter, every picture, every knick and knack from her life.
She is my grandma's dad's sister, which is pretty amazing if you think about it.
She'd always offer 'Topher and I alchohel when we came over. When I was like, seven.
She'd always have such good stories and was the one thing keeping my grandma, and the Lowney side of the family, together.
She never went to a nursing home, has resided in her house, where she wanted to be.
Now she is in heaven with her father, mother, and her brothers and sisters, and most of all, her husband Leo which we all know she has been waiting for, for more than 50 years.
I love you Puvy, and you will always be a great role model of a powerful woman in my life.
Rest in peace, December 10th 2005.
Florence Blair Lowney "Puv"
