Tight. I have a little time left in the day to post. You see, I think 7/07 is cool. But not so much the other same-numbered month/date combos in the rest of the year. ... Anyway.
I am going to teach you all about the wonder that is One in a Million. Yes, the song. I don't think anyone understands the brilliance of it. Like yeah it's catchy and has a nice beat, whatever. But that is not the brilliance. The brilliance? I will tell you.
It is Brian.
You see, during the verses, he kind of just echoes the other Boys. "The sun...her clothes..." etc. It's just kind like, "Ah yes AJ you sing about those fraps. Is that Brian in the background? Yeah. ... So you wish you could tell her..." You know what I mean? Brian is just, sad to say, background noise. Even Howie gets a brief line, and he never gets to sing! So basically it's an AJ/Nick song with some Howie and Brian "the Background Noise" Littrell.
But then. He takes you by surprise. 2:10. He sings. And he does not sound like some 33-year old 5-foot-some-inches Southern, hometown, Christian father. No. He sounds like a man on the hunt for some ass. He will stop at nothing for said ass. He will even toss lines like, "If I could be the light to guide you through the darkness, baby" and "If I could be the one to change the ending to your story" to aid in his conquest. He's aggressive, but not overbearing. He's cajoling, but not whining Carter-style. And you know when he was in the studio recording, he was doing this head bob/shake/neck movement (similar to that thing he does in HWSS) that screamed "I AM HOT!" from deep inside his hot self. He is Brian "the Daddy" Littrell.
Yes.
