I will not jinx my team by talking about their great success in their first three games. I feel really good about this year though...but I'm not going to say anymore. I have already dusted off the Rally Monkey, and he's ready to go.
I do, however, want to say that Daisuke Matsuzaka is amazing. 10 K in his debut today at Kauffman, just having his way with the Royals. That's no hard feat or anything, but it's still impressive when you compare today's performance vs Curt Shilling's performance on Monday. The Royals almost made me eat crow on that one, the 7-1 win over the Red Sox. Luckily, they realized they were the Kansas City Royals, and lost the last two to Boston.
Dicey (that's what I'm calling him--I am hereby coining this nickname) looked soooo pissed when David DeJesus took him long today--he looked like he was going to go Richard Chamberlain in Shogun on his ass. There was so much media at Kauffman, the Royals started getting confused. Just kidding, I rib the Royals for being them, but I really would like to see them have a successful season. No pressure guys, but I only have like 2 years left...you better hurry it up. After all, I have lived here for 4 years now, and it would be nice for them to get in the playoffs while I'm here. Is this wishful thinking? It certainly is, but I'm the "queen" of wishful thinking. I bet no one got that.
I can't wait until boards is over and I come back from vacation so I can talk about the Angels all the time. I heart Vladimir Guerrero and his pine tar stained helmet.
And this may be mean, but I strongly dislike (i.e. flat out hate) AJ Pierczynski or whatever...he allegedly got hit by a pitch, pointed at his arm and complained in the bottom of the 9th, the ump then agreed after the fact, which walked in a run that coincidentally broke the tie and led the white sox to victory today. What a bitch. I wonder if he thinks about the children's dreams he's crushing each time he cheats on that baseball field.
