another job well done

The course coordinator for the course I am taking in school is so freaking lame.

I was assigned to follow a chaplain at St Luke's hospital this month, but they did not allow us to call the Reverend directly. Instead, we had to email this lady back, giving her times when we would be available. I emailed her about 3 weeks ago, and as you can all tell, the month is almost over. And all the people assigned at St. Luke's have been waiting forever. Today, I receive an email from her saying, could you please call the Reverend to set up your time, he cannot get a hold of you at your number.

Of course he couldn't get a hold of me at that number because it was my old phone number! I had sent her an email about a month ago telling her that I switched numbers, and asking her to change it in the file. Did she do that? I don't think she did, even though I got a reply to that original email with a "got the number, will change it in the file." Thanks a lot Zoe. You did a great job once again.

The Reverend had sent her an email that was like I CAN'T GET AHOLD OF AMY AT THIS NUMBER. Like Duh, but that's not my fault. I freaking gave her the new number which she said she noted. And he should have gotten back to us sooner. And in the first place, he should have let us call him directly instead of going through a middle man.

Although it is suspicious that Caroline, another course coordinator has my correct number, and has called me on this new number. How would she be able to do that if it's not in the file? So I have no explanation.

I left her a message saying that I would call the Reverend, except that SHE DIDN"T GIVE ME HIS NUMBER in the email. Also I said, "I emailed you the new number I got about a month ago, so it SHOULD have been changed in the file." Because really, it's not my fault she didn't do her job correctly.

stupid umkc, red tape
