Today I got up at 8, shower and breakfast per usual and walked to class. Spanish class was per usual today, and then we had art class, which was boring but at least it was informative and we are learning about the stuff that we are going to see on our all day trip to Cordoba this Friday.
At 12:30 I got out and wanted to tell my “Experience of the Other” teacher that I had dropped her class but she didn’t come soon enough, so I left. I like telling teachers like that in person so that we are still on good terms, but oh well.
I walked home thankful that I was not sitting in that class. On the way back I found a new route! Just tried it out for fun. I passed some stores with Rebajas and looked around but didn’t see anything that I wanted. I did see a nice leather coinpouch for 75 Eurocents, maybe I’ll buy it tomorrow.
I got back and checked E-mail, etc. and did a little work. At 2:30 we had lunch, which was squash with sauce, French fries and squash soup, salad and strawberries with whipped cream. Delicious! And the first day in a very long time that we didn’t have soup for lunch. Perfect!
After that I did some more stuff and then went back to school for my Spain and the EU class from 4:45-6:15. The professor informed us that he has a friend who owns an orange field. The fruit prices are so low right now that it doesn’t pay to hire someone to come and take the oranges to market. So anyone can come take them! He told us that we could arrange a trip, get a car, fill it to the brim with oranges, or rent a car, or whatever and the field is only 15 minutes away. Cool! And there are also oranges and clementines. I really hope this activity isn’t on a Saturday because I really want to go.
Today he cold called people on stuff we hadn’t learned, and when they didn’t answer right he was like “I guess I didn’t talk about that yet..” It was funny.
After class I walked back home and did some work, etc. and then Colleen called later to see if I wanted to go to dinner with Joselyn at the pizzaria across the street and I said sure. But it was closed!! So we walked to the other side of our building, where there is another restaurant where you can get pizza. The soccer game was on. The pizza wasn’t as good. How crazy is it though, that within a 15 second walk of my building there are three places to get pizza? Colleen wouldn’t let me pay since she hadn’t gotten to take me out on my birthday.
After that I went back upstairs and called it a night.
