okay, i just realised that i spend about $2 photocopying a 2-hour loan from the library. take about an hour to scan through the 20 odd pages. pick the guts out. and voila! it ends up being around 40 words on my essay. given that i'll probably fluff about 30% of my 10k essay, the remaining 7k will cost me $350, take me 175 hours to read through primary and secondary sources, and will still probably not make any sense. whoo-pee.
and so i think: hey, maybe i could trawl through some of my seniors' theses and perhaps try and bang out a more concrete skeleton to flesh out. but whaddya know, they're all located in the "stacks" or "sticks" (or something like that) part of the library which i have no access to. so to get at them, i have to fill up some weird ass form to get them to bring them down (limited to 3), have to enter it in 2 hours before the time i want it, where they'll then only bring down the books at 11 am and 3:30 (so they actually mea: 9 and 1:30 at which to hand in forms) leaving you oh about a gazillion hours in between to break yet another gazillion copyright laws photocopying articles you couldn't borrow out longer than a mosquito can sneeze.
and you wonder why that freako who borrowed all the bali urbanism books reported her bag "stolen" with all the books in it. (apparently all you have to do is come up with a sob story to some poor, overworked policeman and voila! you get a whole bag of books for free, longer than the seven day loan period, and you deprive all your other coursemates of valuable information). argh. argh. argh. she's just too good.
redbull gives me wings my ass.

hmmm... i'm totally ripping off the biblio on all the articles. i'm on my 374th book now. does that sound realistic? heh.
