Because its what we do
In joining with Meleth and Avengangle, its still a bad season for grandparents. I mean, I guess she made it 3 days into March but still. Anyway, my grandma died yesterday morning, after being fairly sick for a year; she got pneumonia a year ago and almost died then, but she was tenacious. Much of my family was around when she went though, so that was good.
I'm also not making it back for the memorial mass (that was eventually decided on anyway despite the fact that originally it wasn't going to happen), mostly because there isn't a wake or anything else, just lunch and mass. There will be some ash burial thing in a few months I will try and get to.

ps- in other news I got my hair cut for the first time at a barber. I used to be so scared to go in case they turned me away. But they didn't. Yay short hair.
