Let's just not come in tomorrow. Take a day.

I have seen The Avengers! And I really enjoyed it, though it did not hit me in the feelings the way Thor did (it is hilariously unsurprising, given my kinks, that that's my favorite of the Avengers movies to date). I think part of it was a question of expectations; ( mildly spoilery rambling )

HEE, yes, I do like Thor partially for the Shakespeare In the Park aspects, but also I am a sucker for sibling relationships (and feeling in the shadow of a shinier sibling, HMMMM, that may perhaps be a thing I can identify with), and--which I think you are kind of saying--I felt like it was unusually character-driven, for an action movie. There was some explodey, but the big drama was mostly interpersonal (with periodic explodey), and I liked that a lot. It also didn't follow a lot of the typical (especially Marvel) origin-story cliches that basically go: getting powers > powers are cool! > powers are hard sometimes > powers are cool AND hard; I really really liked that Thor's heroic journey was about him becoming a hero in terms of his character, not in terms of smashing things with a big hammer. Also there were four pretty awesome women in that movie, and one of them was Sif, and Sif > everything, as far as I'm concerned, so. Yeah. I LOVED IT A LOT.

"I just sometimes really want fic in which someone thinks he might be evil and also wants to sleep with his brother and is unsure if those two issues are related"

HEEEE, that is an AMAZING description. <3

and also Loki's unexpectedly hot trapped-in-a-cage-but-I-can-still-fuck-with-your-brain monolog of evil.

Yesssssssssss. Tom Hiddleston is INCREDIBLY good at EVERYTHING these movies have asked him to do. Mmmmmm.
