GOOD MORNING. I should not be posting, because I am behind on comments, which I will rectify TODAY. Forrealz. However, I did want to share some things:

And yes, CLEARLY they'll all see each other, and Kyle and Andy are still in MWK, obviously. (I can never figure out if Dave ISN'T actually in that band these days, or if they just can't SAY he is for contractual reasons. Hee.) I just think the whole thing would have to sting a little, if you were Dave (assuming that I'm right and it was Neal's choice to leave), and while I don't think this is a massive friendship-ending rift or anything, I can't help wondering if there's some tension there, and therefore I wish they'd tweet each other or SOMETHING to prove me wrong about that. Hee. (Not that I have any right to their personal lives, of course, I'm just overinvested, and this has hit some of my own buttons as well, which have nothing to do with Neal or Dave.)
That TIB video...I HAVE ACTUALLY NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE.
ARE YOU SERIOUS? OMG IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE VIDEOS OF THEIRS EVER. I mean, it's not the best QUALITY video (the lights make that nearly impossible) but it's SO INTENSE, like all their history as a band all pouring out in one song. It's AMAZING, I love it.
And yeah, I can't even really get too tweaked about that confession because it's just so ridiculous. Like, don't find him attractive, be glad he's gone, whatever, that's your prerogative, but the whole "he's not a good guitarist" part just makes all the rest of it laughably invalid.

It seemed to me at first people freaked out. I know just for myself I did for a minute. There was some thought that maybe Neal went to HoH because it took so long for David to decide when he was going to tour and Neal didn't want to wait. IDK about it but seems like at least a decent theory (Part of me thinks Neal got freaked out because some of the Cook fans have a habit of being...intense. Let's put it that way. and he didn't want to have to deal w/that anymore. OTOH could just be me overthinking. He could've just decided he couldn't take one more minute of Dave's slobness on that tour bus XD)
And yes Dave & Neal need to tweet each other. BTW am I the only one who FREAKED THE HELL OUT in that first vid w/Devin (at that accoustic radio thing) I'm so used to seeing Neal & Dave side by side on stage or during shows, I was a bit weirded out! :P
As far as I know, MWK as of right now is Neal, Andy, Joey & Kyle. Looking very hot on my desktop I have to say :D
And the whole just because you like Neal you have no taste in guitar players. I like Eric Clapton too so argument: invalid :P

Hmm. Who knows, but... that doesn't seem likely to me, just because Neal had already waited almost two years, so I can't imagine that a few more months would have been a deal-breaker. I mean, it seems to me like he was on board at least up through the filming of the video for TLG, which is pretty far along in the process. And I would imagine that the wheels were in motion for the tour for at least a little while before they actually announced it, so he probably knew it wouldn't be too much longer. IDK. *shrug* (Also, is Dave the one who decides when he goes on tour? Isn't that kind of the label's call, at least to some extent? Especially in this case, where he was coordinating with someone else. Either way, I'm glad he took the time he needed with this album--he seems happy with it, and I think that even if he never gets wildly famous, he's got a solid enough foundation to keep making money doing what he loves, so that seems like a pretty good situation to me. Frankly, I think it would be great if he could get out from under the whole ridiculous machine of pop music anyway--that kind of thing drives me nuts. Two years does not seem like that long between albums in any rational world, IMHO, and it makes me sad every time I hear him talking about how they took forever with it.)
I would be surprised if fan craziness wasn't at least a factor in Neal leaving, though. Which sucks--this is why we can't have nice things, fandom! Sigh.
And yeah. Seeing Dave and Devin is WEIRD; it still catches me off-guard when I see pictures. I'll get used to it eventually!
And I know that Dave isn't officially in MWK, but I do wonder if he'll be on the new EP or show up at future shows of theirs or anything. Partially because I still dream of good-quality recordings of him singing backup for Andy--I looooove that configuration--and partially because it would make me feel better to know that they all have at least one band together, still. :)

Same. And he's trying to hard to be a rocker guy. I was saying to someone the other day that Chris Daughtry seems to have pulled away from the Idol bubble, so why can't David (to be fair Daughtry didn't win so maybe it was easier for him but STILL)
I think you're right; the tour thing is the label's call. and two years really isn't long. When I was really into Bon Jovi (as an example), their albums almost always came out at least two years between each other.
Boo-hiss fandom! Honestly, I love it so much at times but then there're others when my heart is just not in it anymore
I can't say it enough though, it does help that Devin is cute. Plus he seems to have the guys same sense of humor. (have you seen the pics of the guys dressed up as zombies yet? *sigh* talk about bad timing on Neal's part ;D)
Oh I'm sure he'll help out w/the writing or something. I'm kind of still love/hate about the showing up at shows thing. Just as long as Dave doesn't sing lead on any MWK songs ;D
