'Cause I'm out here on the other side

You guys, thank you so much for taking the time to help cheer me up yesterday. You were INDESCRIBABLY AWESOME at it, and it felt kind of like shuffling along in the dark and then looking up and seeing a sky full of stars. And I really, REALLY needed that. So thank you. Seriously. *smishes you all* I am also unlocking this post, because there is so much glee-inducing stuff in the comments that I feel greedy keeping it locked down. So just ignore the emo and enjoy the glee, please! ♥

The bad news is that you may all have been the architects of your own boredom, because I am feeling a thousand times better today and that means I'm going to natter at you. Sorry?

- So I'm going to see this band, My Chemical Romance, in, I don't know, TWO WEEKS FROM THIS VERY DAY WE ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING? And I'M KIND OF EXCITED. Also I am enjoying the fact that this show will be at the White River Amphitheatre, which--in addition to hopefully having much better sound than the @*&%#$% Showbox SoDo--also happened to be the first stop for Projekt Rev in 2007. OH YES. Beautiful Auburn, WA, The Cradle of a Thousand Shenanigans. And also Ian Crawford (who is, as I understand it, at the very least shenanigans-adjacent). YOU'RE WELCOME, WORLD. You're welcome.

(Speaking of Projekt Rev and shenanigans, does anyone have a link handy for the time where Gerard stripped Pedicone onstage? Because I feel like I really need to see that.)

I'm also really enjoying stalking the concert posts for this tour, and the great thing about it is that I don't even feel like I'm getting spoiled for the setlist, because they've been changing it up enough that they could suddenly whip out the ABBA and I wouldn't be entirely shocked, you know? I have this theory that they have one of those lottery-ball air popper thingies and before every show, Mikey stands there like Zombie Vanna White, reading out song titles: "Sleep. :| Planetary. :| Destroya. :|" (Then morebliss pointed out that Gerard is canonically a bingo nerd, so them having one of those machines is not actually entirely out of the realm of possibility. CANONICALLY A BINGO NERD. I LOVE THIS FANDOM.) Anyway, I have a sort of mental playlist wishlist, but at the end of the day, they are an amazing live band and I actively love about 90% of their songs, and yeah, it's a short set but they could probably also play for three hours and it would still feel too short to me, so I feel like my chances of leaving satisfied are pretty damn high. I AM EXCITE.

- Other things I am really enjoying: the snark- and pasties-strewn cohabitation of Neal Tiemann and Kira Von Sutra. HOW ARE THEY SO ADORABLE. HOW. Here, have some (possibly not entirely worksafe) hot domestic bliss. AWWWWW. Relatedly, Neal's SMILE. AWWWWWW.

- So, this solicitation for Batgirl #3. I am conflicted. On one hand, I know I am being manipulated, and I'm not thrilled about that. On the other hand, it is kind of totally working. DAMMIT. (Regardless: how great is Adam Hughes, though? I think he's really great.)

- Having an e-reader has suddenly made me a huge, HUGE AO3 convert. Being able to download fic and take it with me everywhere is MAGICAL. (And occasionally kind of uncomfortable, such as when I am reading porn while waiting for my mother-in-law to finish trying on clothes at Nordstrom's. Oops.) Someday I will actually get more of my own fic over there! Maybe!

- Gonna get going on bitchinparty plans soon! EEEE.

Anyway. The amount of work that has piled up for me while I have been composing this is now reaching terrifying proportions, so I should get on that. But thanks again, you guys. You're amazing. ♥ ♥ ♥

fans are awesome, make some eggs and see what happens, my chemical romance, dcu, kiraaaaa, neal fucking tiemann
